I too will be glad to see more of this engine.
Also--quit blaming Crytek for building an engine ahead of its time, and start blaming Nvidia and AMD for not putting out something better than what we had over a year ago. I think this is the biggest drought for high-end graphics I've seen since 3d graphics cards first came out.
Not quite, but it's getting there. When the Geforce 2 GTS came out it was along time before we saw something really new. The Geforce 3 was at least a year behind the release of the afore mentioned Geforce 2 GTS. At that time there was little else in the way of decent competition. ATI and 3DFX didn't really have much going on at the time as I recall.
Then we had basically been stuck on the 9700Pro with only minor upgrades just as we had been left with during the Geforce 2 GTS's time. Then there was the Geforce 6 series which remained dominant for a year. ATi wasn't as quiet but they never could trump the 6800Ultra's in SLI.
