Crossover 434k & 494k OCN Thread Ignore the 12ms delay result from the first post since it was not obtained with accurate testing methodology.
Unlike the majority of 4k displays, these Crossovers do not use LED PWM Dimming or are Flicker free which is great since PWM makes some people suffer from health issues like eyestrain and/or headaches, and ruins motion clarity as well. The inclusion of Adaptive/Free-Sync is awesome (assuming it works with the overdrive unlike a few of the first Free-Sync monitors) since screen tearing ruins the image and motion clarity and because regular V-Sync adds lag and stutter. Unfortunately these can not be easily returned and exchanged easily and lack proper warranties, but Square Trade warranties are cheap have been confirmed to work with Korean monitors ordered from eBay.
Example 1 & Philips BDM4065UC with 240hz PWM versus the Samsung S27A750D without (DC dimming).
Adaptive/Free Sync confirmation in the Crossover forums. There are no updates planned for the Crossover 44k+404k which are semi-glossy VA panels which are PWM/Flicker Free unlike the Philips BDM4065UC which uses the same TP Vision panel and coating. The Wasabi Mango UHD 420 also supports Adaptive Sync and is PWM free, but it is not supposed to have good colour presets while Crossover advertises that these come calibrated.
