My 4870x2's only have one bridge connector and I believe that is the case for the 5970s as well. That being said, on my 4850 crossfire rig I keep both bridges connected. No reason not to.

Jun 28, 2010 #4 S strikerP4 Limp Gawd Joined Mar 1, 2003 Messages 268 I put on Zalman VF1000s and the little heatpipe nubs sticks out a hair two far to put on the second bridge. It will go on put it pulls the card down and system doesn't run stable.
