Crossfire Mobo, first sighting?

Still not on the shelves. They will have to deploy all this fast.

Can you run X1K cards on an nForce mobo? (Without Crossfire)

Yes. Its hypotheically possible crossfire would work on an SLI mobo also.... but who knows if it will actually work
 
Check [H]ard|OCP's CrossFire preview.
I think they listed a few NForce motherboards that might work with Cross Fire.

The Sapphire has the SB450. The Abit has the ULi SB. Anyone notice that?

Abit suddenly seems to have a better MB than Sapphire.

That's supposed to take care of the dismal USB performance, correct?
 
Yes, along with everything else. But remember that USB performance is only dismal if you're using something like a HD or burner on USB. For regular stuff like a mouse, printer, etc the ATI southbridge performs on par with other solutions.
 
Hmmm looks fancy.... Got to wait too see what ASUS, MSI and DFI comes out with first ;)
 
I think current DFI boards come with a flyer advertising the crossfire board anyhow
 
For what its worth

Xfire master cards are in stock at ATI's web site and the mobos are shipping in the UK...

Meh :)
