Creative X-Fi a Warning

The problem is that it doesnt happen all the time on the same model of board. That means there is a chance it will work, and a chance it won't. A better chance for you that it will work than it won't most likely, its up to you if you want to try your luck.

I think the x-fi is a nice board, compatability arises when you stick it to some odd brand mobo exp albatron, epox, a whatchamacallit 5,000 with turbo heatsinks ect, stick to what works asus, abit, msi and such. If you got a audigy 2zx, or any good sound card stick to it, If your old sound card died, you making a new build, or your a spoiled brat who can affort to buy the newest then the x-fi is good enough. I use an audigy 2 works well for me, my friend has an x-fi he never had any trouble, and to be honest his set up sounds same as mine, his is just a bit newer nothing more. I looked at the realtek cards before they sound nice.

Just some advice from someone that has been at a lot of forums and seen a lot of sh*t. Stop going Off Topic or someone will get banned very soon and this thread will be locked. :)

Anyway, it seems at least 3 people have no trouble with the X-Fi and the Asus A8N SLI Deluxe MB, so maybe if you have this MB then an X-Fi would work for you. :D
