Creative labs settlement how-to?

I think I *may* have heard that this was happening, but I forgot all about it. Seems to me I need a lawyer to look over the documents in order to get my--get this--25% off coupon (not to exceed $64) from Creative's products off Creative's site.

Any Audigy/Extigy owners planning on doing this?

I have had every major creative card and hated them all ---- i'm a glutton for punishment....

Thanks for the link. My plan is to get the coupon in September, which is good for a year, then wait until (hopefully) a DD Live version of the XWhatever their new card is called is available.

I did this and got my "settlement" several weeks ago. I was going to use it and buy the Audigy 2 ZS but decided to wait, cause after the coupon it was a bit less than Newegg and now theres a $50 rebate for the Audigy 2 which makes it about $90 cheaper...but anyways

If you own a Sound Blaster Audigy, just goto the site throw the serial number in there and they'll process the request/verify its an Audigy then you get a 25% coupon, worked out for me beings how my friend was gonna throw his pc away with this in it..

So, for owners of multiple Audigy cards - are the coupons stackable? Are the coupons snailmailed, or sent to us online?

They're not stackable. They are good for 25% off a purchase at creative.com, up to a maximum of like $68 off. The code is e-mailed to you.

Their emailed, it takes quite a bit of time to recieve it though, i think i waited a month.

You might want to edit out that code if you want to use it.

Thanks for the heads up on the coupons - It turns out that I'm only receiving 1 coupon... Apparently only the original Audigy line is covered I own 2 additional Audigy 2ZS cards. The kicker is that I was planning on purchasing a zen micro from them until I researched the Cowon X5 players. I guess maybe an X-Fi is in order if the cards turn out to be as good as the demos in the E3 previews.

After all of the bad driver experiences, I'd like to leave the realm of the Creative card, but I do like their EAX implementation in games...

I want a lawsuit for the zen micro. That thing is crap. It's a great player in terms of features. But it's fragile, the headphone jack breaks easily. I have one sitting around I bought as a gift for someone, it would repeatedly freeze, the battery life was terrible and the headphone jack broke after about 4 months. The sound cuts out when the jack moves. I bought her an ipod to replace it. Creative want's to charge like $90 to fix it. But it's a defect and they won't admit it.
