Ok, so here's the deal. I built a rig last April: i7 930 processor, 6 gigs ddr 3 ram, gigabyte X58A mobo, 750 watt corsair PSU, SAPPHIRE Vapor-X 100283VXL Radeon HD 5770 1GB. The end of last year brought the PC to not posting, or accepting any USB keyboards or mice through any USB plugs. So, gigabyte RMA'd it, and that problem seems solved. However, the OS seemed to have hosed itself after I reassembled everything. It tried to update Windows 7, got stuck and wouldn't allow me to access anything, after several attempts of restoring, one finally took and I could access stuff. Pulled off pertinent, mildly irreplaceable docs, and just took the opportunity of reinstalling Win 7 and went ahead and through in a SSD for the OS. Should have done that with initial build. Now, it keeps overheating and turning off, not shutting down, interspersed with BSOD saying memory issues. Kinda at wit's end.
