Constant crashing with this and jedi survivor.. I tried to do what you said above but it will delete my saves... Not sure how to back up saves.. 8 have the latest gpu drivers and windows update.. Is there a way to find out if it's my pc causing the crashes.. It only seems to be these two games

If you go back and read what Armenius posted and try that. It will not delete your saves, just verify the integrity of the files and should try to repair if is detects anything corrupted.

Jedi survivor make sure you have RT off.
Can’t believe they fixed it and messed it up again in latest patch.

That popup looks like a In-game crash and not your system's fault. I had the same problem with different games. COD always crashes I read in the Steam forums.

I did have it off but it still crashes as much as cod3.. Both games are a pile of shit. I still can't believe after more than a year these games are still crashing non stop.. So either companies know if this to repair the problem and is there A fix for either game?!?

Are you 100% sure this won't delete my save games??
What if they're are no defects or corruption..

Almost all services have cloud based game saves unless you’ve disabled that. Also, verifying integrity for sure on steam does not delete game saves. I’ve done it many times.

I will tell you that COD in particular is a good test of memory. If you have a faulty stick COD could be the only game you have that crashes it.

Well above people stated that it's the game now you're saying memory ugh.. Is there a way to narrow this down to find the culprit?

Swap out sticks. Run memtest over night. Etc. Generally when COD shows that error it’s memory related 90% of the time.

So lookit, when it comes to saved games: they are just files like any other, lookup the folder the game you want stores it in, some are in the same place the games are in, some are in a folder inside my documents, some are in %appdata% and just copy and past them somewhere else and you have a copy. Super easy. Write down where you took them from and if you have an issue, just paste them back.

Random software problems are among the hardest to diagnose, one thing you can always try is use DDU to remove your graphics driver and reinstall with the latest version.

The above mentioned memtest is also always a good idea, checking the health of the hard drive the game is installed on can't hurt either.

right!? this isnt frigging rocket surgery.

pivo, back up your save if youre that worried, but verifying files will not delete your saves. also make sure youre running stock.

You have the error memorized? lol
When COD shows this style of error it's memory. Almost always. Something about how COD runs and the protection it has and how the binary is running in multiple layers of hypervisors to protect itself means that it is super sensitive to any memory problems on a system. It's also just a demanding game when it comes to memory swaps. You could run a far more demanding title like Cyberpunk and never see any memory issues, but in COD you will.

I am running the 5800x cpu and it's ocd some as well. Could be a oc bottleneck with memory but I've never had an issue in any other games besides mw3 and jedi survivor.. Both seem to have serious issues when googled online. I did the integrity file thing mentioned above and will test to see if it crashes after that. If so can I do the memtest or can you just run ryzen master for stability? Unfortunately I have no spare memory sticks just 2 in dual channel 16gb each

set it to stock.
ryzen master is not the same thing as memtest...
set it to stock.
bios up to date?
is it at stock settings?
getting it yet?
stock?

Yes going to run the game after the integrity verify thing mentioned above. I did notice right before it crashes there's a random stutter.. The crash I got last night restarted my entire pc.. The rest just crashed to desktop.
If it still crashes I'll go stock on settings even though they were stable under stress test but I haven't done one in ages..

Narrowing things down dude chill..
Duke Nukem Forever development moved faster. :D

But seriously, this is what it means to game on PC than consoles. You have to tinker, troubleshoot, verify. It's all easier than when I first started as there's a thing called Google now and the awesome people on this forum. Just follow what's already been suggested and go back to stock as the oc might causing some issues. If it's not the issue, then put the oc back in place.

I have to go now, they found out I escaped from GenMay.

Ran the mixed cpu memory large thing

Is this OCCT thing the most accurate test for stability of pc? Pc crashed within 2 mins of doing large cpu mem mix test strange voice saying core 2 error. I restarted pc and ran the same test and zero errors after 15 mins...

Down load zen timings utility and post a screenshot of your memory timings so we can see if something is off a little. Sometimes a small tweak is all that's needed to fix memory burst data stability.

The memory test ran perfect on OCCT.
Also the large cpu/memory test also ran perfect...

I don't know if you were trying change what I said or trying to reply to me. Either way, I didn't say anything about memory tests and you didn't ask me anything about memory tests. Hope you figure it out but thanks for reminding me why it's not safe to go out of genmay.

If you have bad RAM, OCCT memory test will tell you in a few seconds.
Not sure if you saw all the results but you said a few seconds.. I ran for 130 cycles and also did cpu/ram large test extreme for almost hr .. Both passed... So what now lol
