Crashing issues

Sounds like you might have a issue other than your RAM. Software? Drivers?

I've used it just the other week to tell me which of my 4 sticks were going bad and it worked great. I've used it last year to diagnose bad RAM too.
And to be fair, most often if you are having failing hardware, it is usually accompanied by BSoD's including RAM.

It’s not that easy. Seen it plenty of times where a stick was just bad enough that only certain tasks would crash, and it would require hours of memtest to diagnose. That or just pulling a stick and living with lower memory bandwidth while troubleshooting.
 
Is this good enough to see timings of ram? So I did the verify procedure like what was posted earlier in thread and I played the game for an hr without a crash.. Kept the oc the same as before... So I'm guessing that might have been the issue until I witness another crash?? What bothers me is that OCCT crashed under the large cpu/mem test and said core 2 error.. I restarted pc and ran same test again and it ran for almost an hr without issue..
Can this same method be used for jedi survivor or does that game have other major issues that cause frequent crashing?

And I've seen Memtest pass a kit as good after 24hrs but still error out watching Youtube.

I'm just saying the OCCT mem test is quick and dirty method to weed out a bad stick in seconds instead of hours if it's bad enough to be detected, as in constant crashing and BSoD's and it is easy to replicate by showing you the errors instead of crashing the system out right.

Running one stick at a time to weed out the offending ones is always a worthwhile exercise if you want to do it right by running the known program that is able to reproduce your crashing.

Not sure how accurate OCCT is... Like I said earlier in thread I ran the large memory cpu ram test my core 2 failed 3 mins in.. I rebooted did the exact same test and it ran for almost an hr without error..

Try setting bios to default settings then update bios, reset bios defaults again. boot into OS, run sfc /scannow. If your ram is wonky it can damage os and software. once crashes stop you can OC again, properly. I find HCL's Memtest Pro to work best for finding errors.

that means its not stable. have you reset to stock settings yet? that includes jdec speeds on the ram, not the "rated" oc speed....

No as I mentioned earlier the integrity trick fixed it all.. Not one crash after that beat the game alreadyt!!! I knew it wasn't the oc bc I play many other games with zero crashes... Even OCCT ran for an hr in extreme in mode.. I currently moved to jedi survivor and hope it doesn't crash like a month ago lol
