Hey guys, I'd like to upgrade my cpu, cause my athlon II x2 is aging quite a bit. Its always running at about 90-100%. Id really like a cheap upgrade for about 500 dollars. I already have a 7770 and would like to have just enough. Would a 3570k be good? I'll be playing at 1080p.

Oh sorry, its my first post here :p
1) What will you be doing with this PC? I'll be gaming, streaming games, and editing the occasional video.
2) What's your budget? 500 USD
3) Which country do you live in? Connecticut, United States
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, Mobo, Ram (i dont know if i do need it), a case would also be nice (MATX would be cool)
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Rosewill 500w PSU, AMD Radeon 7770, DVD drive, 1TB HDD.
6) Will you be overclocking? If it gives me that much of a performance boost then yes.
7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? I have a 23" 1920x1080p monitor with a 1600x900 as a secondary.
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC? Anytime from now to the holiday season
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? There isnt anything i really need. Id like USB 3.0
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Ive got a Windows 7 ultimate key, 64 bit

Which Rosewill PSU do you have?
What RAM is your current system using now? DDR2 or DDR3? If DDR3, which model?

Can you narrow down your time frame any further? In other words, if you're not able to buy within the next 1-3 weeks, you're better off just waiting until you're actually 1-2 weeks away from buying the upgrades and ask for advice then.

If you can't find the model number or voltage of that DDR3 RAM, you're better off buying new DDR3 RAM then.

I guess i could narrow it down to about a month. And yeah, im pretty sure this ram sucks.

I recommend this setup for you:
$307 - Intel Core i5 3550 CPU + MSI Z77A-G43 Intel Z77 ATX Motherboard Combo
$34 - G.Skill Value Series F3-10666CL9D-8GBNT 2 x 4GB DDR3 1333 RAM
$57 - Antec NEO ECO 520C 520W PSU
$50 - NZXT Source 210 Elite White with Black Front Trim ATX Case
---
Total: $448 shipped.

I included a new PSU because your current Rosewill is pretty crappy. New and more RAM added as well. If you still want to use up the rest of your budget, get another set of the RAM above so that you'll max out at 16GB of RAM.
