I'm currently running a Phenom II x2 on 3 cores @ 3.7GHz on my M4A87TD EVO mainboard. I've been watching the prices on the 1090T falling pretty steadily as of lately ($165 on NE) and I'm thinking about upgrading to it late summer/early fall. Am I mistaken to think that I will gain a decent amount of performance by adding 3 more cores and getting to say ~3.8 GHz on a H60 or H70? I'm only running a vid resolution of 1920x1080 so my GTX570 is plenty and I already have an SSD boot/program drive. I'm basically looking to just max this system out and leave it be for a few more years and then pull the board, cpu, ram all at once to do another upgrade. I really only use the computer to play games a few nights a week, BC2 and WoT (world of tanks) until BF3 is released, then i will be playing that pretty often I hope. Thoughts and/or opinions?
