I'm having issues with my CPU temperature readings. I've got an Intel E6300 with the stock Intel HSF. The first image below shows idle information running at stock speeds. Core Temp Beta says my CPU is running at 54C while the GigaByte software shows 39C. The second image shows my system at idle overclocked to 2.8 ghz (7x400). Core Temp Beta shows I'm at 57C while the Gigabyte software shows just 41C. I'm trying to figure out which number is correct. The HSF is mounted correctly and I'm using Arctic Silver 5...not too much or too little either. Is there any reason I'm getting differences in 14-15C from these two pieces of software? I've got a new HSF coming in the mail, but I am curious which software I should trust. Thanks for any help.
