CPU Throttle Technology

I'v been trying to find some documentation or any information on what the technology is called that throttles down your cpu when its not under load on the quads/etc.

er, I bet Intel knows something about it. I hear they even have a website.

EIST is Enhanced Intel Speedstep Technology and uses C1E and other methods in an intergrated manner with the bios to manage power vs performance.
