I plan to build a new PC with the Q6600.

I read it somewhere that the G0 stepping will be better. What does this CPU stepping mean? How do I identify a Q6600 with this G0 stepping?

A newer stepping mean less TDP, which is less heat and less power so you can get a better headroom for overclocking.

To identify a Q6600 with the new stepping, look at sSpec SLACR on the box.

Thanks for that tidbit, helps me a ton.
