CPU - Motherboard Question ?

If your board supports the BIOS update to allow you to use AM3+ CPU's, then yeah. Check the manufac's website.

Compatibility-wise, the processor will work as intended (mostly), but some power-saving features and temp readings and things of that nature won't work properly.
 
No, that board won't work. You need a new one. Not compatible with AM3+ cpus.
 
Your CPU is compatible with the newer AM3+ motherboards at least, so if money is a concern, you can grab a new board, then upgrade the CPU at a later time.

I miss my 1090T. I had a lot of fun OCing it.
