Didn't know where to put this, so i've put it somewhere else too.
Hi guys.
I am having some issues with my CPU fan.
I have an MSI 760gm-E51 FX motherboard, and for some reason it seems like my cpu fan is running at a constant 100% (very noisy)
The ONLY way i have been able to change this (including enabling smart fan and disabling etc in the bios) was by turning down PWM1 in Speedfan 4.49.
After turning the fan down, under idle my temps dont change (they always hover around 44-47 degrees C )
Even the automatic fan speed in speedfan doesnt do anything, nor does the fan utility in AMD overdrive (even by switching the fan control to manual, it does nothing)
Id like my fan speed to only ramp up when it needs to, any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
P.S Buying a new cooler isn't an option at the moment
Also, seem to have some conflicting temp readings. (not overclocked)
It is the "right hand" PWM1 that i change to step down cpu fan, the left one doesnt seem to do anything.
UPDATE: when i turned it on this morning, it stayed at the level speed fan left it at (i think) and sped up when it got warm, but didnt slow down again (had to do it in speed fan again)
