Hi,

Someone recomended Alimentation 650W CORSAIR TX Series [CMPSU-650TXEU] over Alimentation 600W OCZ GameXStream Power Supply (NVIDIA SLI-Ready) [OCZ600GXSSLI-EU].

Here are the links to the two PSUs:

As you can see the one Danny Bui recommend is cheaper and has a higher stability/power output. I don't see why it is cheaper though. Am I missing something?

It's a better deal!

I think it's just Corsair being more aggressive on pricing. I'd recommend a Corsair any day.

The Corsair unit is higher quality. Pricing could be due to stock/demand.

The OCZ GameXtreme is a rebadged FSP/Sparkle Epsilon unit which is now infamous for it's 'dirty power' problem. (High ripple when loaded near it's max rating)

I'd go with the Corsair...

Better platform, better support (not sure how either would be for .CH though, speaking from US perspective), and as you found out Corsair is also cheaper right now... The triple whammy, just get the Corsair. One thing of note: "bling"=money - Corsair doesn't feck with that stuff and rather puts quality components in over things like lighted fans. I'd rather have it that way - reduces the cost, leads to an obviously better product overall, and besides - you want a little bling - get some case fans afterwards :). And yes, could simply be stock:demand issues as noted, or Corsair wants to increase their market share overall, in Europe especially. IN the end, who cares, it's a great PSU, better than the OCZ - JUST GET IT!

Corsair is the way to go...All of my PC's have them and very Quiet too.........I read somewhere that it actually has Seasonic Internal parts of some Corsair Power Supplies..

Corsair currently uses beefed up Seasonic and CWT designs for their PSU's.

The 650TX the original poster is considering is indeed a Seasonic based unit according to RedBeard ([H]ardForum's resident Corsair Guru) :D

Is that my ears burning?:)

It's probably cheaper due to being high in stock and aggressive pricing by Corsair as others have mentioned. And as you have seen, all the votes are for the Corsair.....

Hmm, Corsair's plan for world domination is working...

I use the OCZ 600W GameXstream - no problems but if I had a choice I'd go for corsair.
Corsair has built an very good reputation with its PSUs.
