Overclockers Club has posted a review of the Corsair Obsidian 650D today. Anyone in the market for a new mid-tower case should head on over and check it out.

When I think of the Corsair Obsidian series, I am reminded of the massive full towers like the 700D and 800D that are immensely clean and perfect for watercooling, housing multiple video card setups, gigantic power supplies, and large hard drive arrays. Until recently, I was only aware that the Obsidian series cases were available in full towers and I was proven wrong when I learned about the Corsair Obsidian 650D.

This thing really is a great case. Expensive but worth it due to all of the features it has. Here's what I love about it the most:

1) Back of motherboard near CPU socket is exposed
2) Built-in cable routing system
3) Screwless side panels
4) Built-in SATA dock
5) 2 large 200mm fans
6) Power supply filter for cleaner air intake
7) Integrated USB 3.0
8) No annoying LEDs so it can run in my bedroom at night without distractions.

Again, an excellent case all around. Happy I got it!

Have it, love it.
Pros - 200mm x 20mm fans
Cons - 200mm x 30mm fans don't fit in front.
Maybe someone will come out with a 200mm x 20mm fan that blows more air.

just hate the doors and those ugly handles... they couldn't have copied the 700/800D? REALLY!!? fail

Nice mid-tower otherwise

Build quality is fantastic, cable routing grommets are too.

Con...... Stupid usb3.0 front panel connecters... but everyone does it like that.

What doors?

I love this case. I agree that I wish corsair wouldve used the headers for the usb3.0.

He's referring to the handles on the side panels, I think.

referring to everything about the doors... the doors are what cover the sides of the case ;)

doors = side panels

the handles are gross but nothing else about it is nice so.
