Hey [H],

I'm looking at purchasing a pair of Noctua's for a push pull configuration on either a H60 or H80. But I'm a bit confused as to which Noctua models to purchase and in what order to place them:

- NF-F12 (Push) + NF-S12B (Pull)
- NF-S12B (Push) + NF-F12 (Pull)
- Two NF-F12 (Push+Pull)
- Two NF-S12B (Push+Pull)

Also:

1) Should I go with the PWM version or standard?
2) I've read that the H80 has issues with aftermarket fans but it appears to be random with the same configuration working or not working for various people.

Thanks!

Match your push/pull, and for the money you're looking at GT AP-14/15's are going to be your best rad fans, pretty much no question.

Sorry for the hi jack... But speaking of ap-15s, you wouldn't happen to know a good place I can order from in canada would ya?

hm...for Canada, I'm not really sure where ships and where doesn't.

I'd imagine it'd be no problem getting the ones from Germany (aquatuning is a reliable and well-known seller, especially in the wc arena) listed in this thread -

FrozenCPU also carries them (see this thread - http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1681312&highlight=gentle+typhoon)

And I just recently picked up a couple from amazon that were sourced from a company called Platinum Micro. http://www.amazon.com/Scythe-Gentle...RUVO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1333666577&sr=8-1

So, wherever of those that will ship to you and works out to be the best price I guess?

I guess I shouldn't be so vague, sorry that's my bad. I have actually found a few vendors who have in stock and will ship to canada - its just that I get reamed on shipping. I was looking at 60 bucks for two from frozencpu. And from germany, acutally I guess now that I think of it they have great shipping. They just charge an extra 10 bucks for sub 75 dollar orders.

I might have to just buy 4-6 then... Though I only really want two for my H80.

So my post was kind of pointless, I guess. But thanks for the advice I always appreciate it!

Noctua fans should be F or P only when it comes to use on a radiator the S fans are strictly for case duty. On most of the fan reviews I have seen (which use 2 fan tower air coolers) the F fans run about a degree cooler than the P fans at the expense of about 1 decibel extra noise. When running flat out the GT AP15s should be about on par with but a bit louder than the Noctua F12s. If you use a low noise adapter or fan controller then the Noctua fans will most likely retain better static pressure.

Thank you for the explanation Teenyman. I've bought the S series for so long that the P and F models threw me for a loop.
