It's got a single PCI-E x 16 connection out of the back of it, so to be safe and not use molex-adapters, anything with a single PCI-e x 16 power requirement... GTS 250 and ATI 4850... 9800GT, etc.

5850 and GTX260 + and above require 2 connections and usually pull more. You could use molex adapters and it'd probably run fine.

I would probably get the XFX 9800gt that NE has, no external power connector required.

HD5770 will do for you nicely. I know someone who ran a quad core phenom and an HD4870 on it. The 12v rail is rated at 30a and thats 360W. Reviews have shown that the PSU can provide the full 400W so just do your math. The rest of your setup is low power so up to a 5870 could work but u'd need the molex to PCI-e converter

Corsair 400 watt will handle any 95 watt CPU wtih dual pcie powered video card.

Thank you all very much for your helpful advice. I Found à 8800gts512(g92) As à good deal [H]ere, and will, for now, use it safely with this psu.

Thank you!
(Managing this Keyboard more, too!)

can the g92 65nm Be safel oc'd to gts250 Speeds?

I've seriously considered a HD5850, and am reserving the physical cash for it, at the moment.

With any luck, by the time I have enough, combined with the possibility of ATi refresh / nVidia lineup / TSMC production bonnazza, the HD5850 will be a fine choice!

Most power consumption reviews for the HD5850 pit it at about ~330W (total system power), but that is adding an i7 920 OC'd with Linpack running. Not to mention that is the at-wall power draw - after PSU inefficiency.

Thank you!

The 5850 is an excellent performance-per-watt card -- possibly the best. Undervolts very well too.

I managed to squeeze one of them in with an undervolted Q9550 on a 300W 80 Plus. That 400W Corsair should be more than sufficient, especially since you have 2 more amps than I do on your 12V.
