Corsair 550W Enough?

I'm running a Corsair 550W PSU that's feeding an i7 930 @ 1.325v (4.0+ GHz), 1 SATA HD, 1 DVD burner, and an 8800GT. I'm looking to get a 5850/70 or maybe just a 5770 (not sure if I really need all that for 1920x1080 gaming). My question is this:

Does my current PSU limit my GPU selection to just 5770 or maybe 5850 or am I okay for the 5870? I found a calculator but it doesn't factor in OCing. It shows roughly 545W for the 8800 (only lets me choose GTX or GTS though...) OR the 5870, 440 for the 5770, and 496 for the 5850. It looks like if it runs the 8800gt, it should run either 58XX.
 
Well the 8800GT uses significantly less power than the HD 5850.

Anyway, a HD 5870 would be possible but you would definitely be stressing the PSU to its limit. The HD 5850 should be ok though. And yes you'll need the HD 5850 for 1920x1080 gaming.
 
I agree, the 5850 would work no problem and honestly it should be enough for a 5870 as well but it would be getting close. Id feel more comfortable with something in the neighborhood of 650 myself.

If you can afford it, the 5870 and a Corsair 650 watt PSU would definitely be a sweet upgrade and great for gaming! If you cant, get the 5850 and youll be fine. About the only game you wont be able to max out at 1920x1080 would be something like Crysis but you could still get very good performance.
