Ok I got a new motherboard this evening it was doa so I switched back to my old one and now my temps are around 79-80c. I have used pc wizard and everest to determine this. I was wondering if maybe the temps had anything to do with me not applying another coating of thermal paste?? Or maybe the proc isnt seated right or something but i made sure it was fully secured to the board it wasnt movin. I have a e4300 that i sometimes overclock to 2.4

If those are core idle temps in windows something is horribly wrong, reinstall the heatsink and make sure all the pushpins (if using the stock heatsink) are properly set up before installing and pop and hold securely after pushing the hell out of them. The heatsink should not budge a bit even with a good hard "wiggle".

Also, ANY time you take the heatsink off the CPU to change it from one board to another or just taking the heatsink off in general...ALWAYS clean off the old paste and re apply new.
