core temps: 40c, CPU temp: 85c!

Not much else to be said, I guess, but something is terribly terribly wrong with that box. Try using RealTemp and see what that says, then CoreTemp also. That's simply wrong, period. Not sure what that "CPU Temp" is reading, but the Q6600 only has sensors for the 4 cores, not a 5th one for the general CPU temp sooo... that could have something to do with it.
 
I am pretty sure that is normal. I think the CPU temp is measuring the Tjunction temperature while the other is actually the cores. Right now speed fan says my cores 1 and 2 are at 19 and 22 while my cpu temp is 42.

Edit: I could easily be wrong though as I am not 100% sure so I would check anyways just to be safe. It may be something to look into though. I am not sure what the cpu temp is actually reading its just a guess.

I think you need to adjust speedfan up by 15 degrees.
19c is 66 degrees F. That would be one heck of a cool running CPU, not to mention a really cold room.

Core temp reads the same thing. They are at 24 and 28 after playing HL2 for about 45 minutes, the others were at idle with just firefox open. I am in a basement thats probably around 65 degrees Fahrenheit or so. Its an e2200 with an Arctic cooling freezer 7 pro. I haven't OCed it yet since I just put this build together saturday so thats why it is running so cool.
