Hi,

I was putting together a new Foxconn AMD mb A7VMX, X2 5600, 2 gig OCZ ram with this PSU.

The system was in the middle of expanding the files in Vista when everything cut off.

From there nothing turned on. No juice, nothing.

Could it be PSU going bad or mb problem? Any suggestion is appreciated.

Thanks.

[sarcasm] hmmm. It seems odd that such a high quality PSU would just die like that. [/sarcasm]

OK, sorry. Seriously, there is a good chance that your PSU did go. But first try unplugging everything from the wall letting it sit for a few minutes, reset your CMOS, and try booting back up. If there is still no go, it's time to start swapping components.

Left unhook overnight. The psu was running fine for about 10 min before it went out.

I don't think the mb was affected during os installation.

LOL!

Anyway, htwild1, pick up another PSU, preferable a good quality one and locally, and hook it up to your new system. See what happens then.

Definitely sounds like a PSU issue to me, as a motherboard probably wouldn't just kick the bucket like that.

Grab a baseball bat and have some fun with the Coolmax. Then buy a good PSU :).

connect the "bad" psu to another mb, there was juice flowing. So ot boiled down to the Foxconn mb. There is no sign of anything burnt though...

Will get another cheapo at Microcenter to see what happen.
