I plan to swap the stock heatsink on my new 3850 with a Zalamn VF900. However doing so will leave the voltage regulators exposed. So, how important is it to put a heatsink on them? I suppose I could always use the Zalman ram sinks if needed.

It's pretty important to keep the vregs cool, even on the 3850.
