I plan to swap the stock heatsink on my new 3850 with a Zalamn VF900. However doing so will leave the voltage regulators exposed. So, how important is it to put a heatsink on them? I suppose I could always use the Zalman ram sinks if needed.

It's pretty important to keep the vregs cool, even on the 3850.
er hm. do you have any left over after using them on the ram??
yeah. eight of them from my VF700. Found them today. Gotta find some cheap thermal tape now.
