Hey guys,

I just go a new case, and its pretty sweet. It's the Aspire X-Dreamer. I ordered it from the egg last week because for some reason the green one was only $40 shipped. When I got it, it turned out that everything was basically the X-Dreamer II case except for the LEDs on the front (which would look pretty gay on a green case anyway). I have some questions about how to position the fans I have now. Let me first send you to a place that has pics of the case I got: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811144022

This is the case I got, but there are a few small differences in fan lay out options. It has the fan on the window and on the top, these are preinstalled and just like the pics. It also has space for 2 80mm fans at the front, like on the newegg pics. It is different on the back side, tho... There is a mesh that will fit a 120mm, 92mm (I think) or. an 80mm fan. I have 2 80mm fans laying around right now, they are PC Toys brand and they are adjustable, I got these last week from SVC. The front and back fan areas have no fans in them right now. Where should I put these 80mm fans and which way should they blow (and how fast). I know I should get a 120mm fan for the back, right? then probably put the 2 80mm in the front. What configuration would be best for air flow? Keep in mind the side window fan is toward the back and up, it basically sits right on top of my HSF, which is a coolermaster Dream 7. I can provide real pics If you want to see em.

front and side fans should blow in, top and rear fans should blow out. the spare 80mm fans you have lying around will be fine.
 
Thats what I was thinking, should I put my more powerful ones (As in blow/suck more air) on the side, back, top or front?
 
I would think you'd want a more equal balance of fans so as to not create increased or reduced "air pressure" (for lack of remembering the term I want to use) in your case which will lead to increased volume.
 
A trick with hot vid cards is to slightly underpressure the case by using a little more exhaust airflow than intake airflow, and then leave the slot cover off of the slot right under the vid card. That way cool air is drawn in right over the vid card heatsink.

When I do this, my vid card runs a full 5C cooler with the case closed than it does with the case open, simply due to the cool air coming in through that slot and going right through the vid card heatsink. A side fan blowing cool air right onto the vid card can do pretty much the same thing, so experiment with the slot both open and closed and see which one works better.
