Alright, so i have the new Asus 590SLI mobo and my room is in an attic and it can hit extreme temps (even with AC on) and i am having a prob with the northbridge overheating. The problem is that it has that heat pipe circuit cooling and i dont want to take it all out, what is the best soloution? Can i cut the heat Pipe to install a cooler just over the NB, or is there liquid inside? I was also thinking about using Artic silver adhesive to glue a big passive cooler on top.

#1) Where did you buy it
#2) I want one
#3) Try loading some VC-REs onto it for cooling

Son of a bitch, nevermind, you're talking about the amd version :(

Maybe it's not making good contact? did you take the cooler off and reapply thermal paste?
