i just got one.. and its really awesome... like a 5 in one... but its only one cable and a free carrying case

had to get a new usb cable for a new photo printer, and this was on sale for like 20 i think, might be a little steep, but i dont look at newegg all the time to see if thet got a price drop on those things

I keep one of those in my "field" kit for whenever I get the call to fix stuff. That way, I know I can check for bad cables.

gold for those cables is an absolute waste of money; they sell these kits at komp ussr btw in not gold

or save your money untill they come in real diamonds all over the usb pluggs

Save your money until platinum ones come out.

Yeah, because gold and platinum help increase the speed of USB 2.0 way past 480mbps.

Speaking of stupid cables (gold plated ones), has anyone seen the "geek squad" cables and accessories at BB? OMFG, they charge $40 for a geek squad USB A to B cable! They take a $3 cable and mark it up to $40 because it's gold plated and has GS written on it. I almost fell over laughing when I saw that.

I thought this was stupid until I put it in my tool bag. I ended up using it to test cables and hook up firewire and USB devices when the cables couldn't be found. The crossover adapter actually helped me troubleshoot a bad Uplink port on an Avaya phone switch!

Not bad for $30. Too bad they're not gold plated. ;)

the sad thing is... I bet it's cheaper than Monster Cable.

I saw a Monster USB Cable at Fry's yesterday and it was $39!!!!

The nerve... someone has to stop these fools.. they are ridiculous!

It even had cool hightech words like "Single Helix Construction" that fools people that don't know that a decent regular usb cable will do the same thing. And why do people still misinform others by saying that there is a difference between a USB 2.0 cable and a USB 1.1 cable?
