Hello all, in the near future (a month or so) I am planning on converting over to Mini ITX or Micro ATX. I am having a lot of trouble deciding which one. I am interested in using the Prodigy case, and now it can handle Micro ATX. I plan on gaming and keeping my current processor. I overclock, and so i need a board and cooler that can handle it. Below are the answers to my questions. Thanks!

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Gaming, Browsing

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
400-500 USD

3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.
Philadelphia, US

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.

Case, Motherboard, Possibly Cooler if it wont fit
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
CPU: Intel 2500k
PSU: Corsair Tx750
Ram: 8GB DDR3 1600
VGA: GTX 760
SSD: Crucial 64 GB m4 SSD
HD: Older 3220GB HD

6) Will you be overclocking?
Yes, I overclock my 2500 to ~4.3 currently

7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
two 1920x1080

8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
A Month or so

9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.
Have not decided if SLI would be worthwhile for me in the future. I know this would boot me right over to Micro ATX if that is the case. I am open to no SLI though, as I have never done SLI before anyway.

10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
Windows 8 64

Thank you all.

I am in exactly the same situation as you. I keep thinking if I go ITX i will regret being able to add a sound card or something. I have built two ITX builds for friends though and I'm leaning towards ITX more and more. As for parts, in a month or so prices will change and new products may come out. Let us know a few days before you want buy the parts.

It is a nice looking case, but id rather keep a full size ATX power supply, as I already have one. Is ITX okay for overclocking a 2500k?

The problem is your full sized ATX PSU has a ton of cables. Which makes it a bad choice for mITX anyway and a not-so-good choice for mATX.

Is ITX okay for overclocking a 2500k?
Yes if you get a good mITX motherboard like the ASUS P8Z77-I Deluxe.

You really have to decide what case you're going with first before we can help you with the mobo and CPU HSF recommendations. It's probably going to come down to aesthetics and size as there are mITX mobos that are just as good as mATX mobos features and quality wise.
