Converting to Divx format

This should be legal, but who knows anymore. If I wanted to take some of my movies on DVD (store bought, legally owned) and turn them into Divx files, what's the easiest way? Is there any software that will take the .vob files and convert them, if I ripped the DVD using DVD Shrink to my hard drive? If it matters, I'm planning to use only the main movies, so I can make my Media Center PC into a movie jukebox.

The easiest way is by using AutoGK

DivX 6 Create also works, as it's just drag and drop, but it's not freeware ($19.99 for the bundle)

Wow, look who's lecturing on forum etiquette. Anyhoo, thanks Vile for the links, I would have responded sooner, but I always prefer to try things out before posting back, and I have been unable to get the time to do so. I will be trying AutoGK this weekend.
 
FWIW I just wanted to say AutoGK is the way to go.
 
I'd be more impressed if you actually spelled it correctly. No, wait...I wouldn't...sorry.

Hmmm...trust Google's word, or the words of someone who doesn't believe in ESD. Tough choice. I'll leave it at that. You've already been named top troll by several of the mods I and others have talked to. No further discussion is necessary.

Lol, you're a bit confused. Google doesn't spell check Latin words; the "error" you see it it attempting to match to an English equivalent. Here's a hint. I paraphrased the classic phrase, qui potest capere capiat, by adding the pronoun quod and the present vindicative form of the verb loqui. In no case did I "misspell" anything.

That certainly isn't myself, as I've made painfully clear on a number of occasions. Is your English as poor as your Latin?

Wow...I would have never figured that out. :rolleyes: That's why I checked it on a Latin translation site. I'm done with this thread, since I have my answers. Troll on!

I wasn't proven wrong. When are you going to get it through your head that you just trolling, with severe social disfunctions? When you argue with me over ESD? How about arguing with pxc over FBI protocols. Maybe arguing with 6 other people in the displays forum? What about a few dust-ups with Phoenix86 in the OS forum?

Face it, you have a severe social issue. You do nothing but argue with anyone, on any topic. I dare anyone to search by your username and see otherwise. Do you have any idea how many users have sent me PMs and IMs "lol'ing" at you? Do you fully understand that nothing you say really matters anymore? Do you know why people say I'm done with this thread (and everyone ends up saying it with you)? Because you are relentless in your pursuit to argue.
