If you haven't played it, do it for sure. It is a really good game.I'm thinking of buying the Ultimate Edition on Steam during the upcoming Spring sale (starts this week)...should be pretty cheap after all these years
Very well written, well acted, game. The visuals still stand up as awesome (though Alan Wake 2 shows you how much better they can be) and while the RT has some minor issues it really adds to things. Plus it has some banger music. Core gameplay loop is what I'd call a "superhero shooter" and is fun, but the environment and story are what really takes it over the top.Boy what an awesome surprise...it turned out to be one of the best games I would play that year. Awesome female protag and a plentiful helping of weird/creepy SCP-like lore lurking in the Oldest House, which is almost a living character itself. Its architecture and ever-shifting nature was really well crafted. Very expansive, but not so huge that it's a complete PITA to navigate. Kind of like the space station in Prey (2017) in that regard, compared to many open world games. And it feels oppressive as hell...just drenched in atmosphere. Production quality in the game was top notch as well.
Saves are not compatible AFAIK so they would need to port those as well.the Epic Store needs to upgrade everyone to the Ultimate Edition!
Well it doesn't matter now since the non-ultimate version was also updated. The whole thing is stupid because the base game plus the season pass is the exact same thing as the ultimate edition as far as content goes.the Epic Store needs to upgrade everyone to the Ultimate Edition!

A guy from Remedy was on ResetEra forums and said that all versions would get the update and it was the next day that I got the update on Epic. They really should have communicated things clearly in the beginning instead of making it look like only the ultimate editions were even going to get the update.it was?...the Standard Edition was updated with the new ray tracing features etc?...have a link?...I was going to buy the Ultimate Edition for $9.99 during the current Steam Spring sale

No, it didn't change the version to ultimate. I still have the standard version plus the season pass.so they didn't upgrade everyone who has the Standard Edition to the Ultimate Edition version, they just patched the Standard Edition so that it got the same patch?...so if I buy the DLC later on will it also come with the new ray tracing options?
I've played it twice. All in all I'm really glad I checked this one out, for me personally I needed it to be on a discount just based on my gaming preferences. How many hours do you all have in this?
very similar for me, I too have also done 2 playthroughs and have just over 74 hours on steam.I've played it twice.
43.2hrs on the Ultimate edition. About 35 on the standard.
