Well I figured since I work all of the time and also still go to college. I though I would give you guys all of the downtime of my PC's.

Right now I'm running all of the PC's in my SIG at 100% with the SMP while I'm not at home.

I would appreciate any helpful info the increase my PPD.

BTW donor Sachem87184 on team 33 FTW!! :)

Wow.. nice machines, and welcome to the [H]orde!!

Glad to have you here and the contributions are most appreciated!!

Ooo, he's got a phenom rig, I'm real curious to see how that thing does in SMP. Too bad they don't OC like that q6600 can.

Welcome to the [H]orde!

Welcome fellow folder! :)

Now that you have all your rigs folding for the [H]orde, it time to recruit some college friends or coworkers to join in. Borg away.

Fold on.

Well the Phenom on XP 32-bit is doing about 15min a percent on the SMP thread of 2653. Not too shabby IMO, the Q6600 is doing about 12min a percent but is only running at 80% not 100% like the Phenom is.

Funny part is that the Phenom is torrenting, running my UT2004 server and folding, and hanging out pretty well lol :D

Make sure to get your badge and post it a few times. :)

I'm definitely interested in how well that Phenom does do after a while. I have an X2 4000+@3.0 right now and I wouldn't mind dropping a Phenom quad into it at some point in the future as I know my motherboard supports Phenoms with a BIOS update.

I would have to wait until the B3 version comes out, though. As I do use VMs, I would rather not risk things and I would hope the newer quads would overclock better.

And we thank you for your contribution. If I wasn't getting a quad up and running towards the end of the week, you'd probably be on my ass in no time.

Welcome aboard. That's a nice selection of machines so you will be putting out some nice results.

What speed are you running the Phenom at BTW? I'm also very curious to find out about Phenom's capabilities. Actually, I started a thread last summer about Barcelona potential.

Welcome to the [H]orde and hope your journey is a memorable one! :)

+1 on the Phenom

And welcome.

You will be shooting right by me soon, just wave as you pass :D

I've been wondering for a long time if the tri-cores will be a good folder/$. We shall see.

Well Apollo, I tried it at stock speed and overclocked about 400mhz and really didnt see a big difference. I got about 1-2min faster per percents but I was getting weird heat fluctuations so I had to stop that. (Still too weary about overheating becuase I'm just not ready to fry components for the sake of folding :) )

I guess1-2 minutes improvement isn't much but it might translate to a few hundred PPD. My dual Opteron 280s are also OC by 400MHz (2.4@2.8GHz) and I think I gained more than 2 minutes per frame, IIRC. Mine are producing a fair amount of heat but not what I consider excessive, well, not excessive for an open case... :D
