Did a little searching but couldn't really find what I was looking for. What's the best method/material to test contact between the IHS and waterblock? I've seen a few videos/images with a white paper and what looks like a red dye?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

The must convenient method I've seen is just to put a little thermal paste on there, install the block, then take it off and look at the spread. It's fairly easy to tell from there; it should be uniformly spread out to the point of translucency.

True, however, these blocks are completely custom so the more data that I have to work with the better.
