Console Gaming vs PC Gaming

I heard of this final fantasy online game but who knows, i could be imagining things

Alright, so that's three. One of which has come out in the last five years and another which has yet to come out.

This is clearly a trend which has been a defining aspect of this console generation.

I like PC gaming loads better, mostly because I like all the tweaking and stuff that I can do with it. Free FPS is never a bad thing, and getting it is similar to the challenge of tuning a car to realize it's maximum potential. PC gaming may be viewed as "more expensive," but after you buy 3 consoles, extra controllers, memory cards, network adapters, etc, etc, you could have a pretty kickass computer that you can use to do more (ie, other stuff than gaming).

I like the freedom of upgrading whatever I want in my computer without having to void any warrantees that'll prevent me from playing online (hello XBOX). There are great games on both sides of the fence, but I feel that the PC has a wider variety of game types, so anyone can find something they like, be it MMOs or RTSes or RPGs (some of the best RPGs of all time can't be played on a console anywhere, like the Baldur's Gate series, Planescape: Torment, and the Fallout series). Hell, PCs can even emulate most older consoles, so you can play classic games like Chronotrigger on your PC, which is something your fancy-schmancy XBOX2 cannot do.

Cliff notes: I like PC gaming (and pr0n) better than console gaming. Sorry for rambling a bit though.

Excellent, thanks for the tip.

To give thew console side some viewpoint, putting in your own hardware will partially void warranties on some stuff, and many people are too lazy to upgrade themselves as well. In terms of absolute simplicity, consoles have the advantage over pcs, as all you do is put the disc & start playing, while it does take some time to install a pc game.

Consoles and pcs really need to start playing together, but Sony, M$, & Nintendo wont let that be fully implemented anytime soon, as then they wont be able to have games that you can only play with your friends online on their console.

The same applies for consoles also, if you are a true (or at least smart) you will build your own rig, and leave all the warranties intact.
