Hey guys. I bought some Buffalo Firestix a few weeks ago and have been running them at 490 4-4-4-10 for the last few weeks and everything has been peachy. About a week ago i installed something i shouldnt have and ended up having to reformat. Ever since then however my system as been unstable. It will run 490 4-4-4-10 for about a day, then become unstable. Ill have to run it at 490 5-5-5-15 for about two days, then again they become unstable. So i back all the way down to 401 4-4-4-10 and once again i get about a day. 401 5-5-5-15 gets about a day before it too amazingly becomes unstable. Dimply put i have no idea whats wrong. Ive re flashed the bios a few times and that always starts the cycle from day 1 again. I have no idea whats wrong here - anyone have some ideas?

Memtest is what im basing all of this info on. Memtest completely agrees with everything listed, being fine one day and not fine the next (no reboot is even required for this to develop).
The program was just something a friend thought would be funny to send me. One of those trojans that just constantly bombard you with pop up adds.

Perfectly fine. It will still test at 490 4-4-4-10 fine if i flash the bios. It will just degenerate over time. Thats what im not understanding.
Cali3350: How much voltage are you feeding your memory?
You're sort of on the edge trying to run your Buffalo sticks at almost 500 MHz at CL4 timings. When you're near the edge you might be stable one day and not the next. Setting voltage up to about 2.2 to 2.25 volts might help if you're not there already.
