Conroe release date

That is a long way off from now...my trigger finger is getting itchy...I want to just buy a Yonah-based notebook right now and say screw it.
 
Exatcly. I pulled the trigger. pentium d 820. Going to overclock.

If you're going for Merom-based notebook that is Q4, so not July (Q3) like Conroe.

I'm getting tired of waiting I'm either going with the Foxconn 975X7AA or Intel's Bad Axe motherboard and tossing in a Pentium D 930.

bang: without a doubt i agree with this comment! conroe is worth the wait and see. if it lives up to the hype, great! if it doesnt jus get an am2 mobo and cpu and everything else is virtually the same.

My thoughts exactly. Im getting what ever is the best bang for my buck by the end of the summer.

I'm hoping for the last day of June. But I'm going with July 10th for the launch and or when they go on sale to the public.
 
Thats what the Intel guys said at E3 ,they had 4 or 5 rigs running with the 2.66, they didnt go over 37c on a full load on air.
 
Sheeeeeeesh the more i hear about this chip the more i wet my pants. Boy i cant wait to get it. This new rig will probably end costing me another 2 grand but oh well.

Same here but i will also buy a new case, soundcard, and power supply.

Hopefully by than the new xfi platinums will go on sale. I really dont want to purchase another fatality for full price.
 
Nevermind scratch the soundcard. I will just use my old fatality on the new pc and use the onboard sound for my old pc.
