Conroe E6400 in stock ZZF!

thats the probally the lowest price you can find on the net for this chip!
Its not pre-order didnt say...this might ship this week!

Should I just stick with the 280$ ZZF or cancel and try the clubIT which is cheaper??

Truth be told I wanted the e6600 but I dont see how I would get that chip this week, and I want a conroe now!! :)

The credit from TD still hasn't went back in my cc yet so I'll have to wait 3 business days from Thursday to see if I get it back and then try ordering from somewhere else. Good luck to you guys that jump on this.

What a horrible sacrifice for such a lack of patience....

Good things come to those who wait my friend.

Well I dont have much time just this week and next week after that I go on vacation and than college...so if i get conroe, i want to get it now asap this is my first build too so i need lots of time to make sure things run right.

what sacrifice are you speaking of? That I am getting the e6400 for 280$? or that i cannot wait for the e6600?

6400 isn't even a conroe its an allendale, so if you really want a conroe, you better wait til the 6600 comes out

I used to think that but I was corrected by someone pointing out an article that I don't have the link to, but, the 6300 and 6400 are conroe processors, they have similar stats as the allendale's because of the 2mb cache

BTW, it's still a pre-order-it's just not labeled as one. I taled to ZZF today and all Conroe's are PO's. Should've waited I think.

Just for info, I ordered a E6400 for $250 with free shipping at ClubIT last night at ~1:00AM. It shipped today and is coming in Saturday :D. Great company .

I hope so. Come on E6600!

Ditto! Tomorrow morning I wanna see the E6600 in stock @ ClubIT!!!

I ordered last Saturday with a Case and DVD burner along with the E6400 retail and today I got a shipping notice and the e-mail listed the entire order. The tracking order page showed two packages though, a 35lb box and a 5lb box. I sure hope the 5lb box is the CPU and the dvd burner is boxed with the case.

I really wonder when the 6600 will be out since that is what I really want...but a 6400 will be fine if i can get it this week as supposed to a 6600 in a 1-2 weeks.

hmm should i cancel my ZZF order and wait another day or two and see if any higher chips come out or should I be happy and stick with my order :)

Ordered a 6400 from ClubIT, we'll see how it goes...I might end up having two come to be before I can cancel one if ShopBLT and ClubIT ship within the next day or so.

What do you guys think...I was quick to jump and be one of the first to order this backinstock e6400 from ZZF...but now Im realizing how jacked up the price is on it and that I would really rather get the e6600.

Think I would be able to order a e6600 and have it shipped out by the end of this week? Im really thinking about cancelling this order with ZZF...I love their price for the e6600 but the e6400 that I ordered seems to be a really bad deal. I mean te e6600 is not much more than the current e6400 price. I will wake up early and see about cancelling...I wonder how late I can cancel with zzf. I would prefer to pre-order a e6600 i guess at BLT or Tankguys if ZZF doesn't have the e6600 soon.

Should I cancel? I feel kinda silly now that I'm changing my mind yet again...I don't have many weeks left before college and want this pc built and yet....

i personally would not buy it as it is rape
you can order on at culbit and for me(tax) toatl is $268
which i think i might do plus i have a 66 on preoreder at blt but who knows when they will ship

I wont recommend anyone buying 6400 Chips, Buy E6600 as Future proof

Wait, I thought the only difference was the cache levels of 2 and 4 Megs? Is there something I glanced over?

no nothing u missed 2mb vs 4mb and a slight dif in stock speeds
cant see how u can say 66 is future proof and 64 is not

I would suggest going with an E6300 or an E6600 instead of the E6400 until prices get better. The E6400 is being priced not much less then an E6600. I pre-ordered an E6600 from ClubIT for $339 and also ordered an E6300 last week from ZZF for $199. The E6300 will be here today :D.

I ordered an E6400 because it's a nice middle of the road chip . The extra multiplier will take it 400MHz+ in an overclock, but the less cache won't impede it's performance too much (it might even make it more stable in an overclock).

I doubt it is future proof, nothing is in the high speed world of computers. As soon as the quad cores come out, the latest chips will be half way behind

Has anyone actually got a Conroe yet?

Such is the world of computers :D. Mine's slated to be delivered on Saturday, if I get my new server together this weekend, I'm going to post my o/c results in the conroe o/c thread .

What Conroe chip did you get?

Anyways I caved in last night and ordered that e6400 on ZZF like I said. I need to build this ASAP that is why I cannot wait for e6600 and it should be a great chip for gaming :) Well I can no longer cancell now it says PACKED under order status! Maybe it will ship today or tommorow, or else I'm going to be angry with them. The point of me spending the higher premium 280$shipped price with them is so that I can get it now, before the 7th...if they just wait around to than to ship it I'm going to call and demand cancell. But since its already packed I have a good feeling that it may ship out soon, or so I can hope.

Allendale and Conroe FTW! (2mb cache differance and clock speed isn't enough to classify Allendale as not Conroe! So Conroe ftw!

I got an E6400 too . I think that the E6400 and E6400 are still considered conroe's though, just with neutered cache. I believer the E4xxx series are going to be the allendales, yes?

I thought Allendale were the 2mb cache ones and Conroe were the 4mb cache ones?

I got mine from TD for $250 and they are normally overpriced. So that sounds like an awful deal.

Not saying you did not get a good deal, but yours is oem, zzf's is in a retail box with hs&f and 3 year warranty.

The E6300 and E6400 are technically Allenadale, though everyone still refers to them as Conroe.

Oh wow, nvm then. I'm stoked for the E6400, I'm hoping to hit in the 3.5GHz + range using the finely lapped XP-90 I have on my A64 atm :D.

i think ill take the 2-300 i'd spend on a 64/6600, and wait for the 4xxx chip, and get that + ddr2-800 for the same price and ideally just 100% oc it blindly.

bang for the buck anyone?
