I just recently re-seated my Tuniq Tower after it was not working. I put it on using the adhesive. With the Tuniq Tower off and the backplate on, my computer turns on and posts and does all that good stuff. With the Tuniq tower on and the backplate on, my computer turns on, but DOES NOT POST.

Whats up?

The only logical thing I can guess, and thats all it is, is that the backplate is shorting out something on the back of the board. this only happens when you install the tower and the bolts help press or squeese the backplate against the board. Inspect the area where the backplate rests for any solder areas, in particular "pointy" bits of solder that might puncture through any insulation the backplate uses. Use a nail file or emery board to file off the sharp bit and add a layer of electrical tape to the backplate so it will be between the backplace and the board when installed.

There is a lot of pointy stuff that the adhesive stuck to. Ill check around for more pointy stuff around the board that the screws may be touching. I have a Gigabyte P965-DS3 rev 1.33 board.

If any two of those go through the adhesive and touch the backplate you will have a short.
