hey, i have installed 4 case fans, (overloading psu to kill it) and i was wondering if computers can ever get too cold?
What are you talking about?Originally posted by Lofapoo
What if it's a 250?![]()

Actually, these guys are all wrong. It might get too cold...
So first get a blanket, and wrap it around the computer. Then try and find a space heater or something to blow on it... You want to keep it warm, if it gets too cold it might catch a virus.![]()

too cold? what?!
lets just say that there are people who successfully used liquid nitrogen ( thats in the -°C) and well i think most people on here would agree that there is no such thing as too much cooling, or too cold.
but yeah, if a comp get TOO cold like in the -80°C i believe that the electrical currents on the mobo and stuff won't work...
you know what i mean

Also, I doubt four fans will be enough load to kill a power supply.

I don't know if you're referring to the same article as I am, but I wouldn't call liquid nitrogen a feasible cooling solution. Its chemical properties just don't work very well for a PC. The guys I read trying to do it almost got it to work, but the piping didn't work out and liquid nitrogen leaked all over the motherboard and processor, soaking them in vapor and small quantities of water, thus rendering the motherboard and CPU inoperable.
Four case fans are definitely NOT going to freeze a CPU. I'm curious, but what would make you think that it's possible to do that with case fans?
