Computer stops working when logging into an OS

So I left my computer on and went outside for about 10 minutes, when I came back the computer had shut off and wouldn't turn on again until I had reset the CMOS. After that it boots normally until it encounters the Welcome screen on Win7, right when its about to pass it everything stops working and the screen looses the signal. This also happens if I try to boot using a Fedora Live CD, right after the loading is complete everything stops working and only the fans keep spinning.

Booting into safe mode is fine and everything works there, I tried uninstalling the video card driver but had no luck with that. My computer was running OCed when this happened but I had stress tested it and it was stable and temps were fine. I also ran Prime95 for a while in Safe Mode at stock settings and everything worked fine. My 700W Psu stopped working after a few start ups so it might be dead.

I have tried using another PSU although it was only 430W and the same thing happens, Im beginning to suspect the MB is at fault but I'd like to hear your input either way.

So if you have any ideas to what I could try they would be much appreciated.

My computer consists of:

AMD Phenom II 955 BE
MSI 770-C45 Motherboard
Ati Radeon HD 5870 1GB
4GB G.Skill 10600 DDR3
1x IDE HDD and 3x Sata HDD
700W Tagan BZ Series PSU

Ok so now i got through that screen and into windows using another HDD with installed Win7 but after running Win for about 30secs the same thing happens.. I have no idea what could be failing :/

Have you tried using a different video card?

Also remove all the hard drives but the OS drive to rule out multiple HDD issues if you haven't already.

Finally:
[Testing the RAM]
Download Memtest86+ v4.00 or whatever the latest version is, unzip it, burn the ISO file to a CD, and then boot from it, just like you would do with the XP/Vista install CD. Let Memtest+ run for at least three hours on each stick of RAM separately as well as test the RAM all together. Go for a full 24 hours if you want to be completely sure that the RAM is not a problem. If you start seeing errors, than your RAM is defective or you have incorrect settings for the RAM.
 
Done all those things so I'm pretty sure that the MB is at fault, been reading user reviews on newegg and people have been reporting a similar issue there.

Although its the strangest thing that it works just fine under safe mode but as soon as it has been running Win normally for a few seconds it just dies. Must be the extra load that is required that is causing the MB to go haywire.
