computer rebooting itself

I recently went thru a major overhaul of my computer. I got a new mobo, gfx card, cpu and hard drive because my other 2 HDs were messed up totally. But even with all this new stuff, my computer reboots itself. I checked the event log anf this error was listed...

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x000000d1 (0x0223d005, 0x00000007, 0x00000001, 0x77f835cf). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini062504-01.dmp.

i havent the slightest clue what this means, i tried searching for it on microsofts site but they give the vaguest information. Can overheating of the cpu or HD reboot it and cause this error? Or if i dont have a big enough power supply? Any feedback would be appreciated.
 
Typically random reboots are the fault of the power supply. Id look into that first.

also another problem, my AMD 2800 is supposed to be 2.08GHz, but it only runs at 1.25GHz, any idea on how i can fix this?
 
You're running a 166MHz FSB CPU at 100MHz FSB. Change it and that'll fix your speed.

Dump that PSU immediately, get a 400W+ Fortron/Sparkle PSU!

and also, I hope your RAM is at least PC2700...
 
actually i think the ram is PC2100, does that make a big difference D:?

also, how do i change the FSB? I dont even know what that is ^^;;
 
Yes, it means that you need to run it at 133MHz. If you ended up getting PC2100 then I already know you did not get good RAM, so there's no way you're going to get it to overclock that high. I'd sell it and buy PC3200.

Your FSB is probably set in the BIOS somewhere.... I have not used that board.

You spent a fair amount of kaash on that system don't skimp on the PS!!!!!!!!
Get at least 400 watts or more and of good brand.
Check the forum under power supplies , lots of good info
Best to worstest IMO: PC power & cooling, Enermax, Fortron/Sparkle ,Antec
