Computer/PSU Help

My Corsair 750HX just recently went down on 7/30. The fan spun once and loud popping noise which seem to mean the PSU was dead.

I just received a 850HX from Corsair and now I seem to be having the same issue. The PSU worked great for two days and now when i touch the power button the fan spins once and nothing else

During the down time I have been using an OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W which has not had any problems. Everything has been hooked up a surge protector the whole time.
Could I have received a bad PSU from Corsair or is something causing problems to the corsair PSU.

Current Computer Specs
Antec P183
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL
Seagate Barracuda 500GB HD
COOLER MASTER Hyper 212
XFX HD-489A-ZDFC Radeon HD 4890 1GB
GIGABYTE GA-P55-UD3R LGA 1156
Core i5 750

Try a 3rd PSU, not from Corsair or OCZ, and see what happens.

EDIT: Did you make sure that all the cables are connected? And by fans spinning, do you mean the PSU fan or the system's fans?

^ That would be a 4th PSU, as he's already went through 3.

750 Corsair [failed]
850 Corsair [worked, then failed]
600 OCZ [currently working]

Thanks for the quick response. I just do not have the money to purchase a 3rd power supply. The OCZ one was in the case for about 17 days with out any issues.

I meant the case fan (not psu or cpu fan).

Have you sent the 850W back yet? It's very possible that it could have been faulty, though highly unlikely since Corsair is a very well reputable PSU manufacturer but nothing is 100%.

750HX Lasted one year or even longer with out any issues and then POP
600 OCZ still working great (17 days) [knock on wood]
850 HX two days :(

Do what Danny suggested, only return that 850 for an RMA and try the next one you get.
