Computer hangs with black screen, no mouse/keyboard

So I built this computer in my signature about a year ago and it hangs about twice a week where I need to hard reset the computer. I'll leave for about 30 minutes and come back to a black screen (no signal) and my mouse and keyboard are also not working. I'll reset the computer with the reset button and when I open "reliability" afterwards it is either a couple "Video hardware error" or a couple "Hardware error" events.

I get about 1 kernel power error in event viewer a day for no apparent reason plus extra ones every time I have to hard reset during a hang. (Event ID 41 Task Category (63))

Latest mobo bios, latest ssd firmware. tried win 8.1 and still same problem. tried every catalyst i could find for video.

RMA'D video card because I had massive artifacting at the time in games along with the logged error, this has gone away with the new card, but this current issue persisted. RMA's PSU because the fan was defective (squeaked loudly). memtest ran extensively each stick at a time.

Video card temps are ~60c under load. CPU is ~50C under load.

I am quite confused
