We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.

I have recently built my first computer, and within a week of using there is a problem occurring.

When I shut down the computer and restart the next day about 4/5 times I get to the log in screen, enter my password then the computer freezes.
It shows the cursor is loading, then freezes on a completely blue screen without the cursor or any ability to input anything,

Can anyone help in diagnosing whats wrong?

Reinstall the OS and see what happens?

[Testing the Hard Drive]
Download the CD image of Hitachi Drive Fitness Test, burn the ISO file to a CD, and then boot from it, just like you would do with the XP/Vista install CD. Test the hard drive and see if any problems are found. DFT will run on most manufacturers' hard drives. Alternatively, you can use Seagate's SeaTools for DOS to test a Seagate or Maxtor drive. For a Western Digital drive, you could use Data Lifeguard Tools for DOS to test a Western Digital drive. For a Samsung drive, you could use Samsung's ES-Tool.

sounds like a bad OC. (not that you're overclocking, but just seems like a typical unstable OC symptom to me). Check to make sure your bios is loading your ram and cpu correctly.
