Computer Desk help

Not sure where to post this. If it needs to be moved, I apologize.

I am looking to get a new desk for my office area in my house, and wanted a Nice reasonably priced U Shaped desk with a hutch. I have looked at Officemax, Office Depot, staples, and didn't find anything I liked.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a good website that has some nice desks?

Everything Office Furniture will let you mix and match to your heart's content.

And if you do find what you want, go to Comet Supply and price the pieces there.

I shopped many places but Comet supply had the lowest prices.

I have been checking craigslist everyday to see what comes up.

Not sure what your looking to spend but I own this desk. I love it. Sturdy & Heavy. I know its not one of those WOW blown away desks but it has served me very well without fault.

I am also a Fan of Wide open Table top Desks but that is just me. I like to rest my arms on the desk While I play helps me with accuracy

I like that one. I also like the option to add the hutch. How well would it hold 3 23 inch monitors

Ikea Vika Amon tabletops are very cheap, along with their legs. I made an L-shaped desk... $4.85/ft²

For cheap + customizable, I suggest Ikea Vika Amon and Vika Curry legs. For expensive + customizable, I'd suggest Ikea Galant. If you're lucky, you can find a jerker on CL for rather cheap (typically $50).

This is my old setup:

I had this setup a couple years ago...
Vika Amon Tabletop, 39.4" x 23.6", $10
Vika Amon Tabletop, 59" x 29.5", $30
Vika Curry Legs x8, $4 each ($32)
Simpson metal joint/strap + screws from Home Depot, <$10

Held my CRT pretty well, and gave me a lot of desktop space for only $90.

DIY is awesome cuz you can fully customize everything, but I figure if you were into that, you wouldn't be here asking for desk suggestions. /shrug

... When you get to even decent size there is a seem on the surface. ...

The seem is nearly seemless to me now, with the Simpson bracket holding them together (which also allowed me to move the leg out of the way).
