Component updates for BF4?

quick rundown of my current setup:

i5 760
gtx 460
450 silverstone psu
16gb ram
zotac mini itx (cant think of the model number)

quick google searches and im seeing my specs as definitely dated when it comes to bf4 requirements... any recommendations to be better up to date with upcoming new stuff?

right off the bat the initial updates would be gpu and psu... power supply wise im thinking http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Series-Modular-Bronze-CX600M/dp/B00ALYOPSS/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1384228890&sr=8-2&keywords=corsair+modular and that is listed at about 77 bucks

gpu wise im not like super into wanting the highest end stuff because i don't dedicate my machine to gaming... although something middle of the road would suffice (gtx 460 when i originally bought was considered mid tier to serve for the likes of bf3 and bioshock etc)

any specific recommendations gpu wise? price wise with me... ive seen r9 280x 3gb and gtx 760 4gb versions as more of the upper end of what i am willing to spend... anyone know of a better deal and value than the two listed?

Thanks!

Depending on what exact PSU model you have, you may be able to get away with your current one.

As for the GPU - what resolution do you play at?

I've been at 1680x1050 don't know if that's good or bad but yeah...

PSU wise i am using a Silverstone ST45SF nice little unit it's served me well no issues with the gtx 460 or any other components

Not a good price for that particular PSU. Too high.

Just so that we're clear, what is your exact max budget for this entire upgrade?

Depends, are you planning on upgrading your monitor within the next year?

It's... usable depending on which GPU you get.

Sorry bout the triple post. Refreshed the board a few times and my post didn't show up despite the warning about quickly posting. Not sure if it's the office 'net or the board acted up. Gave up and came back an hour later to see all three there ~_~

If you're intent on playing BF4, why not give the game a play with your current hardware before making the decision to upgrade?

1680x1050 isn't really such a demanding resolution and the GTX460 will *PROBABLY* play that game at mixed medium/high settings smoothly w/o AA/AF (which based on BF3 I didn't really find necessary).

No plans for any monitor updates my dell 2209wa is still getting the job done for me... In terms of price maybe 400 max

I thought that corsair was fine price wise.. It is modular so probably that's like an added premium?

A $400 budget limits your upgrades to either the processor (along with the motherboard and RAM) or the video card.

What case do you have?

What's the model number of your RAM?

Only a handful of its cables are actually modular. Combine that with the fact that there are far higher quality and modular PSUs out there for not much more and it makes that particular Corsair PSU not a good choice for the money.
