So I am helping my friend build himself a new pc. I liked the price and functionality of the raidmax katana case and he agreed and ordered it.

All is well, but were both confused on one aspect.

WHY does the front two pieces on the case rotate? Whats the purpose of that?

Are you talking about those 2 mini doors on each side of the front of the case?

If you are talking about what brnunn stated, it would be so you can open your cd-rom drives, and get access to other components. Probably would have been better without it.

Ya the only thing I think those mini doors would be useful for is so you or someone else doesn't bump your dvd drive's open/close button or any fanmates or control nobs

Mini doors huh?

I didnt notice they were going to be in the way of the drives... that seems kind of stupid actually now that I see what it does.

I thought it had a neat purpose.. we deduced that maybe you could put cathods in them and direct the light, or a panel of fans could slide between them for ultra cooling... but wow that seems really stupid.
