Well I was swapping cases when this happened. I have swapped out every part I can think of, memory, cpu, video, psu, psu fan. I have left only the basic parts in video and mem. I get the same result the comp starts for about 4 secs then shuts off. I reset CMOS taking batt out and putting back in. No matter what part I swap in and out same results. I have the board on a piece of wood. I was able to get it to POST once but only once. I'm figurin the board is done, I just want to be sure. Asus M2N-SLI. Thanks for any input.

I wouldn't say she's gone....

I've got a similar mobo, and almost gave up... but then it fixed itself?

Never found out what the Issue was...

Check the Asus forums... helped me out a bit...

Well, I let the comp sit for a day w/o the bios batt. I put it back in and what do you know it posted. So I was feelin good till I plug my SATA hdd in and got the same result w/ fans run for a few then shut off. I then take my hdd and put it in my test bed and no problems. Tried to boot the m2n w/o anything again, wont post. What a goofy problem.

Sounds like the SATA controller is on the fritz. Maybe?

I had this issue with my motherboard. It randomly stopped working and for some reason I disconnected my dvd drive and it started working. Plugged it in a different sata port and all has been well.

Well back to square one. Cant replicate the comp POSTing anymore just spins up for 3 secs then shuts off. Dang. I just needed this thing to run until I get Win7 for my new build.
