Be careful when ordering internet / cable from Comcast, you might get a little something extra when your cable installer arrives. To be honest, this story would have been so much funnier if the cable company was Cox. Just sayin'. :D

According to a sheriff’s office report, on July 31st, 31-year-old Shane Wheatley was in the victim’s home to install her Comcast cable and internet. The victim, a 24-year-old female, claims that Wheatley began touching himself through his shorts and she looked away.

i dunno the guy apparently requested a polygraph to clear his name, as much as i dislike comcast i think the woman might be full of shit. This is just seems too unbelievable to have actually happened.
 
What sucks is that she could be totally making this up and dude just lost his job and will have to pay court fees, bail, etc. because of it.

*IF* I were in this type of job I'd take a tape recorder with me everywhere just in case.

I don't see much actually happening unless there is proof. A suspension is possible at best. Now if this was a repeated offense from different customers, then I am more inclined to believe this.

Years ago when i slung tech calls for comcast, someone didnt like the customer so he dropped a coiler in her attic. Apparently the stench was immense, and the guy got fired after some type of investigation. I wouldnt want to be the one crawling around to find a log in the attic

The above said in jest, we have a lot of (X) videos and stories about the pizza delivery boy, cable installer, etc I could see either someone in such a job, or, someone at home with a service person of average to better looks getting missed or wrong signals.

As said above in a hot sweaty environment I myself have had need to scratch itchy nuts and heat also seems to make my mind wander and blood flow freely to certain body parts resulting in a need to 'adjust' the vector down there.

Not that I live with my hand down my pants, I dont. I can also say that I have been in situations, more then once, where someone has thought I was flirting with, or hitting on, them and I was most certainly not doing so and have a long record of having a vastly (as big as the change in one binary digit to another) gender choice.

As for the polygraph line. It means nothing to me. Having a 15 year old in the house I am very familiar with being around someone who will make any claim they can think of to try to prove innocence and deny prevarication even in the face of overwhelming evidence of the lie.. As it has been said, "The best defense is a strong offence."
 
I've been doing IT work, crawling around under someone's desk to try and find out what's going on with their computer or trying to find out where the hell the network cable is running to, and it's about 105 outside, where I just came from to get there, I'm hot as hell, sweating my ass off, and yeah your package is gonna need adjusting. You've got no choice but to adjust or risk damage.

It's no different that women playing with their bra's and pulling their thong out of their crack when they think no one is looking.

This guy got screwed by some probable fat chick that thinks any guy that makes eye contact with her is hitting on her.

That's sort of my thinking as well. You have a lot of these women who are basically afraid of men for whatever reason, justified or not. Suddenly they are alone in their house with some stranger and everything he does is now a prelude to rape.

Sarasota County Sheriff's detectives did not arrest and charge Wheatley until September 12th. Police reports indicate that he failed a lie detector test after being asked what happened at Breadmore's apartment.

Some of you guys are pretty wet behind the ears. This isn't a perfect world where there are no sex offenders, pedophiles, creeps, voyeurs, rapists, and indecent exposure offenders. There ARE people who do it at the drop of the hat. Just because you can never see yourself or your friends or relatives do something like this doesn't mean some Joe Blow next town over won't either.
 
There have been situations where women have provoked technicians when they're at a site and then they turn the tables and call the police and later on sue.


Example story my former employer told me before I started.


IT Tech went to a girl's apartment to work on a networking issue. She answered the door in her towel. Though that did get his attention but continued to go into her room to diagnose the issue. She then jumped on him and tried to have sex with him. The tech immediately left and called the IT Director, my boss, and explained what happend. Paperwork was filed with corporate and policies were dealt with.

A day or two later, Police arrested the tech for attempting to rape and sexually assault her. She was planning on suing the company too. Before it got to court, the she dropped the charges after the IT Director submitted documentation that the tech called immediately after the girl's apartment and that she was lying.

Tech got to keep his job and charges were dropped.

He told me this story so that if this ever happened to me, gtfo as quickly as possible.



I'm on the fence with this because it is his word vs. her word but I think there is some truth to the story, but how it got to that point is the question.

Regardless, the tech is fked for being in that situation not leaving immedately and contacting his employer about the situation.

And it's not a perfect world where there are no emotionally damaged women who make up bullshit stories. The bottom line is that there is no evidence. No pictures, no corroborating witnesses, just her word against his. Since there is no actual evidence either way, I'm going to go with "fucked up chick" as the most likely explanation, since I know more women who spin bullshit stories for attention than I know men who whip out their johnsons and fap in front of a stranger.

If you read the article, then you would know that it's all the woman's word, and the guy even requested a polygraph to clear his name.

And there is no pic of the girl, so there is always the chance she's just some really ugly chick who's trying to get attention.

That's the craziest story I've ever heard! ...I've worked at places where the people sued for "discrimination" when they were about to get fired, but I've never heard customers trying to set up a scam like this. It's good to keep in mind that things like this do happen when dealing with people though!

I've got the same perspective on the story too. There's only a suspicion of wrong doing. Most people forget that the police aren't the judicial system...anyone can get charged with anything, it's up to the courts to decide whether that accusation was justified. In reality, evidence needs to support the charge for a conviction. That's why our system is set up as "innocent until proven guilty".

...funny enough, suing someone doesn't require the same "burden of proof".
